To apply for a marriage license in New York, you and your prospective spouse must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Complete the marriage license application form.
Pay a $35 fee.
Make an appointment in person or virtually at the Office of the City Clerk.

You will need to provide your names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. You will also need to provide information about your parents and your previous marriages.
