Real love, real weddings, pop-up Vows
Hi, I’m Lauren
I’m the founder and lead wedding officiant behind Pop-Up Vows — where small weddings get the spotlight they deserve.
We specialize in elopements, micro weddings and pop-up ceremonies across New York City, Long Island and South Florida. We started during Covid-19 when couples were being told to cancel their Big weddings.
I saw people heartbroken and thought why should love wait? So I created a way for couples to get married anyway —beautifully, meaningfully, and without the circus.
Now I spend my days marrying incredible humans in all kinds of places — beaches, gardens, rooftops, and even my private elopement suite designed for small wedding ceremonies.
It’s intimate it’s real and it’s exactly how getting married should feel.
This isn’t just what I do — It’s what I’m meant to do. Every ceremony reminds me why I started: real love stories, no fluff, no rules, no drama.
So whether it’s just you or your inner circle of ride-or-dies, your wedding isn’t just the start of your marriage —
It’s the beginning of your favorite story yet.

How do I apply for a marriage license in NYC?
Complete the online marriage license application process. This part of the application process hasn’t changed so if your marriage license has expired then this will feel very familiar. If you haven’t completed this application process before, this is where you fill in all of your identifying information.
Once you submit your application process, you’ll receive a confirmation number that you need to hold onto in order to submit your Project Cupid application.
Create a NYC.ID account if you don’t already have one in order to log into Project Cupid.
Log into NYC’s Project Cupid and enter the Confirmation number you received in step one of this whole process.
From there, you’ll need to upload photo identification like a driver’s license or passport. CLICK HERE to review all the acceptable forms of ID.
You’ll pay the $35 fee online and schedule a date/time to meet with the City Clerk virtually to review the accuracy of the information you input during step one, to verify that you really do match your photo IDs, and that you’re both currently in New York State.
The City Clerk will send your marriage license online.
